As seen in the first official trailer for “The Crown” Season 5, Queen Elizabeth II addresses various scandals surrounding her family, including the marriage of Charles and Diana.

“I don’t think my behavior is putting the survival of this wonderful family at risk,” the Queen tells her son, crooning over the cover of “Bittersweet Symphony.”

There are also scenes in which Diana faces a difficult decision about remaining “silent”, as well as Diana in her revenge dress and Diana interviewing for Panorama.

The Crown season 5: Storyline

The Queen reflects on and commemorates her 40 years on the throne amid tensions in her children’s marriages and a fire at Windsor Castle.

Episode 5: The Way Ahead – Duration 49 mins

After intercepting an important call with Camilla and having it returned to him as a kickback, Prince Charles must navigate a scandalous situation, all because of the fallout from a tampered call.

Episode 6: Ipatiev House – Duration – 57 mins

It’s not all smooth sailing for the Queen, however, as she navigates the new rifts in her marriage with Philip, and Yeltsin tries his best to win the Queen’s support in order to lead a newly democratic Russia.

 Episode 7: No Woman’s Land – Duration – 50 mins

In a London hospital, Diana, a lonely and lonely princess, finds purpose and warmth as a BBC journalist goes to great lengths to obtain an interview with her.

Episode 8: Gunpowder – Duration – 54 mins

During her visit to Prince William, the Queen spends quality time with him. The fireworks that celebrate Guy Fawkes Night are a perfect distraction from Diana’s interview with the BBC.

Episode 9: Couple 31 – Duration – 51 mins

Despite the repercussions of her statements, the Princess of Wales carries on. As a result of a delicate family issue, the Queen asks the Prime Minister to assist her.

Episode 10: Decommissioned – Duration – 50 mins

A new alliance is formed in Hong Kong after Charles is subjected to increased public scrutiny. Having recently split from her husband, Mohammed Al-Fayed offers his support to Diana.

Is The Crown season 6 out?

The Crown season six was confirmed by Morgan in a statement confirming he had changed his mind about season five being the last. Morgan stated that, as the storylines for Series 5 were discussed, it became apparent we should return to the original plan and do six seasons to fit the richness and complexity of the story.

It’s clear that the fans of the show are not complaining at all and quite thrilled about it.

In other words, for all we know, Series 6 will not help us get closer to the present day – it will simply allow us to examine the same period in more depth, rather than jumping ahead.

Season 6 of the Crown will likely cover the period from the early 2000s to the end of the decade, which will include the death of Princess Margaret in 2002 and that of the Queen Mother in 2003.
